On June 20, 2024, Administrative Medical Assistants (AMAs) working in our Orange County health centers voted in favor of unionizing with the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) Local 324.

The next step in the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) process, is called “collective bargaining,” during which the union and PPOSBC will negotiate terms and conditions of employment, such as pay and benefits, for all members in the bargaining unit.

PPOSBC is committed to bargaining in good faith with the union. While we do not yet know how long this process will take, negotiations begin on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
